Camden New Journal - Letters to the Editor
Published: 13 December 2007

Dog house

• MOST attack dogs within Camden are “kenneled” within social housing flats… my own housing association, St Pancras & Humanist insist that tenants apply in writing for permission to keep dogs
However on applying for permission “pet agreement licences” are rubber-stamped. The results are predictable the estates are full of these dangerous beasts. In my opinion housing officers should be held accountable. If an housing association licensed dog tears a child to pieces the housing officer who “licensed” the beast should be charged. If social housing executives were aware that they would be held accountable for the behaviour of these savage animals they might not be so keen on granting permission for people to keep these dangerous creatures.
