Camden New Journal - Letters to the Editor
Published: 6 December 2007

Park fight

CAN I urge readers to support the protest – on Sunday morning – against the proposed development of just under five acres of Regent’s Park by Goals’ five-a-side-football complex.
The park is a rare and special natural resource, an oasis in the heart of London, a resort of beauty enjoyed by thousands.
It must not be built over and commercialised.
The proposed development, however, seeks to turn a corner of the park into a grid of artificially surfaced, floodlit wire cages, with attached car parking and licensed bar.
Meet east of the Blue Hanover Bridge, just past the Boat House Café in Regent’s Park on Sunday at 10.30am.
Cllr Rebecca Hossack
Conservative, Bloomsbury
