Man found in pool of own blood

A MYSTERY attack left a 25-year-old man lying in the road with a fractured skull in Hampstead on Monday evening.
A police patrol came across the man lying in a pool of blood in South End Close, near South End Green, at 8.30pm.
The area was cordoned off for three hours as forensic teams and sniffer dogs scoured streets and undergrowth for a weapon. None was found.
Detectives are seeking a 5ft 10ins white man aged around 35, wearing a woollen hat and parka coat, who was seen heading for Fleet Road at the time of the attack.
He was admitted to the Royal Free Hospital. His injuries are described as not life-threatening.
