Camden New Journal - Letters to the Editor
Published: 15 November 2007

It’s pistols at dawn

• SUE Prickett of the Leighton Road Neighbourhood Association says “TfL should be hung, drawn and quartered for the decision of the route of the 393 bus travelling down Leighton Road.”
Well, Ms Prickett, it is now “pistols at dawn” as there are many people out there who really appreciate the opportunity of a bus travelling up and down Leighton Road.
Ms Prickett and her members managed to get a meeting with mayor Ken Livingstone to discuss the route of this bus. I just hope that the mayor will give the users of this bus a chance to meet him and state their views about the route, before and if he decides to change the route.
The route has been a “bone of contention” to some members of the public and a sheer blessing to other members of the community and it would be nice to have a definite answer one way or another as to whether we keep the present route or lose it to another area.
