Waldo is sharp in Germany

CAMDEN Fencing Club were flying the flag for Britain at the weekend when they took part in an international competition in Germany.
Waldo Ramsay clinched Britain’s best result in the tournament when he sealed third place in the under-14s boys category. Club mate Nicolas Sabharwal also put in a strong performance to take 18th spot.
Curtis Miller also put in a commanding display as he captured Britain’s second highest result when he finished in 15th place out of 143 entries in the Under-17s Cadet Boys category.
In the same division, Ramsay finished in 37th spot, while Soji Aiyenuro took 61st place. Sabharwal and Jack Horrix were also in action. Jack Horrix also went on to finish 11th in the under-13s boys.
There were a string of eye catching displays in the boys’ under-12s category with Josh Spoor, William Moore and Joshua Allen finishing seventh, eighth and ninth respectively. Rubin Amsalem also did well to take 14th place.
Meanwhile in the girls’ competition Emma Horrix finished in sixth place in the girls’ under-14s division before going on to compete in the girls’ under-17s category, while Alex Hamilton-Holbrook finished in sixth spot in the under-12s girls’ competition.
