All-conquering Anaconda retain title

ANACONDA recorded an incredible 39 new personal best times as they retained the John Watson Trophy on Saturday at the Park Road Pool in Haringey.
Morgan Mockler, 10, set two new club records when she won the under-12s 50m butterfly in 37.32secs and the 100m backstroke in 85.07secs.
Teammates Padraig Lynch and Jake Usher also picked up fine wins.
The U-14s successes went to Harley Greer, Dominic McLoughlin, Samara Williams and Kathleen Bartha, while Chris Jackson, Clare Walton, Leo Kirby, Julia Taylor and Jud Broscombe-Walker were all winners in the U-16s group. Watson also sealed victory in her open backstroke event, while clubmates Mei Corbett and Josh Wright won their respective butterfly and backstroke events.
In the relays, the open boys team of Hayden Thomas, Wayne Lock, Ben Hartog and Josh Wright won the freestyle. The under-16s boys team won their freestyle relay.
The open girls team of Samara Williams, Mei Corbett, Charlotte Larner and Clare Walton won their medley relay, while the under-16s girls squad of Mary Ann Reddaway, Harley Greer, Jessie Baker, Julia Taylor and Iona Davey won their freestyle and medley races.
The U-14s girls – Kathleen Bartha, Jodie Sees, Harley Greer and Iona Davey – also won their medley event. The U-12s boys – Jake Usher, Felix Day, Padraig Lynch and Samuel Dixon – won medley and freestyle relays. The U-12s girls – Naomi Jeffs, Verity Hayes, Michelle Mateus and Morgan Mockler – won their freestyle relay.
