Camden sunday league

OS LUSOS lifted themselves off the bottom of the Division One table on Sunday with an impressive victory over AFC Brasenose at Regent’s Park.
Jaime do Valle struck twice, while Bruno Miguel and Floyd Shillingford (pictured) were also on target as Os Lusos ran out 4-2 winners to net their second successive win, and climb above Brasenose in the table.
In Division Two, DOM are the only team to remain unbeaten in the entire league after they beat CS Maritimo 4-2 to move two points clear at the top of the table.
The result of the day came in Division Three where Grupo Desportivo os Amigos de Londres stormed to a titanic 18-2 win over DL. The goal blitz saw Jason Saunders, David Hew and Elia Mahoney all score hat-tricks, while Kardel Saunders and Andre Feierra bagged two goals apiece.
Ashley Chin-Saunders, Nathan Williams, Chris Langford, Jonathan Thompson and Eric Boatang were also all on the score sheet.
Meanwhile a host of teams took a break from league action to compete in the London Cup. The Constitution were among the sides in action as they booked their place in the third round with an impressive 6-1 win over south London’s Junior Sports. Tom O’Neill and Laurence Lee both bagged a brace, while goals from Seb Timmins and Garry Miller completed the rout.
Phoenix are also through to the third round after a 4-1 win away against Flamstead United.
Leading scorer James Cole struck twice to take his personal tally to 12 goals for the season, while a Terry Rowland free-kick and a strike from Scott Cole completed the scoring.
