Hitchcock had eyes on house, too

IT may be of interest to readers and Patti Smith, prospective buyer of No 8 Royal College Street (Patti: I wanted to buy poets’ home, October 18) that the great film director Alfred Hitchcock used as a location, Royal College Street and Plender Street in 1956 for film, The Man Who Knew Too Much”.
James Stewart is seen getting out if a taxi running down Plender Street south side, with, in the background, part of the Royal Veterinary College and the poets’ house both in the street.
