Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 18 October 2007

Remember Sunday as a day of rest?

• SUNDAY used to be a day of rest; the roads were quieter and buses were quicker and more reliable.

However, passengers have told us that this is too often not the case now.
Indeed, because of the lack of parking controls and bus priority on Sundays, or little enforcement where they exist, bus journeys are often worse.
One bus operator even described weekends on a high street in west London as: “like a car-park with no restrictions”.
Our report, Sunday Bus Performance in London, available from www.londontravel
watch.org.uk presses London’s councils and Transport for London to look harder at traffic management on Sundays.
Please help us to help you. If you’ve experienced frequent delays on buses on Sundays, let us know where the problem is, so we can work to make your journey better in the future. Contact us on sundaybuses@london travelwatch.org.uk or at 6 Middle Street, London, EC1A 7JA.
