Swan killed by dog

A DOG savaged a swan in Kenwood on Saturday, killing the bird.
The attack has been investigated by the Met Police’s specialist wildlife squad and the owner may be charged with failing to keep their pet under control.
Dogs are not allowed off the lead in the grounds of the English Heritage-run house. It is not clear whether the dog slipped from its owner’s grip or whether it had been allowed to run free.
The swan was in the water on the Wood Pond – which sits furthest to the west in the house’s grounds.
