Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 11 October 2007

One more crime…

• ON Sunday at about 8.30pm I came across a lady screaming tearfully down the phone her location (Crogsland Road near Chalk Farm Tube) three or four hooded youths shot off into the Denton estate her husband further down said, “don’t bother darling the police don’t care let’s go home.”
Sad but is it true?
Maybe just one more crime to add to the statistics. The citizens of west Kentish Town are scared to walk home from Chalk Farm Tube at night. What’s required now is a constant police presence from dusk until the last Tube on the crossroads of Crogsland Road, Prince of Wales Road, and Malden Road, to remind the kids of this area it is not their private fiefdom from which to terrorise the local people. Please can it be seen to.
