Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 11 October 2007

Politics of ‘meltdown’

• HOW telling that over the page from your comment about “High-rise Ken…” you publish the letter (Tube in meltdown as trains go missing and buses fill up, October 4).
While we wish you success in your fight to keep our historical city intact, we’d like to make two points.
First. You are wrong to suggest that “something happened to Ken two years ago”. He’s been having an affair with property developers for much longer than that – at least since 2000!
Second. “Revamped bus service… Almost like a taxi service”! You must be joking! There are short periods during the day when some buses run OK – at least when they are not trying to kill us while racing along – only to stop for five minutes at a time because they’re too early (tough luck if you are in a hurry) – but try it in a rush hour!
