Strokes of genius clinch trophy!

MEMBERS from Anaconda Swimming Club were celebrating on Saturday when they won the Millbank Trophy with a tremendous display of team spirit at the Park Road Pool in Haringey.
Morgan Mockler was among the perfect pool performers as she set two new club records, recording times of 34.09 seconds to finish second in the under-12s 50m freestyle and 18.07secs for the 25m backstroke in the first leg of a medley relay. Morgan also won her 50m breaststroke event.
Clubmate Felix Day swam superbly to win the under-12s 50m breaststroke, while Wayne Lock powered his way to victory in the 50m open butterfly.
Lock then joined forces with Leo Kirby, Josh Wright and Ben Hartog to win both the 4x25m freestyle and medley relays.
The under-12s girls relay team also hit home in first place as Mockler, Naomi Jeffs, Verity Hayes and Valentia Costa won both their 4x25m freestyle and medley races. There were also relay wins for Mockler, Kathleen Bartha, Jodie Sees, Harley Greer, Mei Corbett and Samara Williams.
Capping off a magnificent meet, Jeffs, Costa, Clare Walton, Fred Cornwall, Joe Grubb, Padraig Lynch, Julia Taylor and Charlotte Larner all sealed impressive second place finishes.
