Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 28 December 2006

Proud to stand

I HAVE been selected as the Conservative Party’s parliamentary candidate for the new seat Hampstead and Kilburn.
I was particularly pleased to be selected for three reasons. Firstly and most importantly, as a sitting councillor here it will be a privilege to continue to serve the community.
Secondly, Hampstead and Kilburn is a top Conservative target seat. And thirdly, I was delighted to be selected by an open primary at which any resident could vote. No other candidate will have that mandate, and I would like to thank everyone who voted.
I will be happy to assist my neighbours in any part of the seat with any issue that they have. I can be contacted at: philp_chris@hotmail.com. I look forward to the next general election, when I know that the Conservatives can win Hampstead and Kilburn, just as we won in my own ward Gospel Oak last May.
CLLR CRIS PHILIP (Cons)
