FA Cup glory beckons

FA Youth Cup:
Third Round
Arsenal 2
Wycombe Wanderers 1
after extra time

ARSENAL are through to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup after coming from behind to beat Wycombe Wanderers last night (Wednesday) at Underhill.
The visitors took a shock lead after only 11 minutes when Callum Botham powered the ball home from the edge of the area.
Jay Simpson levelled for the Gunners on the stroke of half time, but Steve Bould’s talented young side failed to find the winner as Wycombe forced etxra-time.
With the dreaded penalty shootout looming, Nacer Barazite found the bottom corner of the net to see Arsenal through into the fourth round.
The win continues the under-18s impressive run of form, which has seen them extend their unbeaten run in the FA Academy Youth league to 15 games.
