Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 14 December 2006

Parking nightmare

• I AM disabled and with seven bags of shopping I used the free phone telephone to get myself and goodies home from Somerfield, Camden High Street.
The operator said my cab would be 10 minutes. I waited 15 minutes and then rang them back.
They told me they weren’t coming as they were too scared of getting a £50 fine by Camden’s traffic wardens.
Next I had an idea I wanted to use my disabled taxi card, the management phoned the number on my card.
They said they were coming to me in 10 minutes, but didn’t arrive.
The management then got me a private hired taxi to take me home as I was due medication.
Thanks to the staff and management of Somerfield, Camden High Street.
MARGARET J D’ARCY
Dumboyne Road, NW3
