Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 7 December 2006

What a crazy world

I LIVE in the Clarence Way Estate (yes, the one which has the infamous crazy golf course).
Last Thursday I was looking out my kitchen window and saw about six street wardens playing on the course.
As this was just 11am I asked them why they were not working. I was told (rather sheepishly) that they were in fact making a film.
When I protested I was asked to leave as the course was for toddlers.
Considering that this course is seldom used and is often water-logged. I now feel that our estate is being turned into a publicity machine.
I pay full rent and the hedges around our garden are a disgrace. They are never cut properly and there is dirt and rubbish at the bottom. This area has never been cleaned for years.
I think that this course is a complete waste of money and when my neighbours and I asked for our gardens to be tidied up we were told there was no money to do this (and our hedges are now five meters high).
So Camden Council please get your priorities right. First things first.
