Charlton Ace Jadine Madden and goalscorer Khadija Suleman
Girls narrowly miss out on cup finals

FOOTBALLERS from Camden School for Girls just missed out on a place in the finals of the Peter Hill Cup after being beaten 2-1 by Sedgehill on Monday at the Cantelowes Sports Pitch.
Having beaten Hackney’s Mossbourne Community Academy in the previous round, the under-15s side got off to the perfect start when Khadija Suleman gave them the lead midway through the first half.
Mirjana Aksentijevic made the most of a mistake in the Sedgehill defence, selflessly opted to pass to Kahdija who struck home with ease.
The girls came close to increasing their lead when Jadine Madden, who has recently been snapped up by Charlton ladies under-16s team, hit a fantastic volley that just went over the crossbar.
Azra Havva, who hails from Highbury Park in Islington, put in a resolute performance in defence.
But she could do little about the equaliser as Sedgehill levelled the scores late on, before going on to score a dramatic late winner in the dying minutes of the match to end Camden’s cup quest.
