Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published 30 November 2006

Put end to junk mail

• FOR nine months I have been collecting and counting the pieces of paper that arrive unsolicited through my letterbox. This does not include those items delivered by Royal Mail.
There have been 167 of them in various shapes and sizes, selling anything from pizzas to minicab services. But by far the highest number are from estate agents. Sixty-five highly coloured brochures with up to 200 pages in each.
The waste of materials and labour on these pointless publications must be huge, quite apart from the environmental damage they cause.
PETER GORB
