Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 16 November 2006

Kentish Town FC needs your support

• I AM writing to you again concerning the plight of our local football club, Kentish Town FC.
Local politicians show little concern for our plight, despite the benefit the club has on the community. It has tried to keep the kids off the street, giving them the opportunities to express themselves in a positive way.
If the club does not find a permanent home and were to fold, the whole community would be adversely affected.
Many people in Camden are concerned about drugs, crime and street gangs, as the borough’s only semi-professional team, we are in an unique position to provide an alternative positive opportunity and create good local role models.
At present many in Camden benefit from the club’s programs, as have the many that have been involved with the club since 1994.
It is time for local councillors to actively support our search for a permanent ground for they will be quick to claim the benefits to the community that we continue to deliver.
FRANK ZANRE
Manager Kentish Town FC
