Town blast six past opposition

Spartan South Midlands League
Division One
Kentish Town 6,
Arlesey Athletic 1

LEE Scott scored twice as Kentish Town cemented their place at the top of the table with a victory over Arlesey Athletic on Saturday.
Town took the lead midway through the first half when Aaron Hutchins met Thomas Looney’s dangerous in-swinging corner on the volley.
Josh Standford doubled Town’s advantage on 43 minutes, but Athletic still found time to pull a goal back before the break when Mark Phillips slotted the ball past Kentish keeper James Noonan to make the score 2-1.
Scott restored the hosts’ two-goal cushion on the hour mark before left back Daryl Malcolm popped up just outside the area to riffle a fierce low shot into the bottom corner of the net. Scott finished off a good passing move to grab his second of the game four minutes later, before Chris Zanre completed the rout late on with his first goal of the season.
