Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 26 October 2006

Tennis courts cater for many

• WITH regard to the plan to remove the tennis courts and golf driving range form their present position in Regent’s Park and replace them with a five-a-side area and a bar, I would make the point that the courts and range cater for a varied section and age of the community – unlike football.
Also it would seem that the area planned for the five-a-side and bar is not very appropriate.
There is no mention of transferring the courts and range to another site. There must surely, however, be somewhere else in the extensive area of the park where five-a-side and a bar could be accommodated.
Could I hope that your paper would support the retention of the tennis courts and driving range in the park? Many of your readers must use and enjoy the excellent facilities.
Mrs REH Crellin
