Patrols stepped up after stabbings

SECURITY has been stepped up in Gospel Oak following three stabbings in the space of a week.
While no arrests have been made following the attacks in Queen’s Crescent, Malden Road and nearby Kentish Town, extra patrols have been ordered to keep a watchful eye on the area.
Kevin Williams, 25, remains in critical condition in hospital after knifemen slashed at his head in a newsagents last Tuesday, while Rohit Patel, 52, required surgery after he was stabbed in the stomach, leg and shoulder at his Londis Minimarket on Malden Road on Monday.
And Mohammed Amkhan, 55, has been released from hospital after he was stabbed three times by a hooded man at Fine Foods on Kentish Town Road.
A police spokeswoman said: “The Safer Neighbourhood Teams have increased their patrols and officers from Camden Police’s Special Constabulary are also conducting further high visibility patrols.
“These incidents do not appear to be linked. We would like to hear from anyone with any information, not matter how small.”
