Scenes of New Orleans

A COLLECTION of New Orleans jazz musicians have been given a permanent residency in Camden Town.
But they will have to stay seen and not heard, as they cannot make any sound – they are, infact, a mural on the side of Wendy Clare’s canalside pub The Constitution, in Royal College Street.
Martin Brown, the artist, who returned after his previous mural painted five years ago faded, also has murals in Camden Road and Camden High Street – including a sea-side scene above shoe shop Aldo.
Ms Clare, who holds jazz, folk and rock gigs in her pub cellar five nights a week, said: “It doesn’t make a lot of money but it’s part of keeping music in pubs alive, and we are in Camden after all. I’m delighted with the mural. I love it.”
