Calthorpe 228 All Out
Washington 231-5

MAN of the match Sandeep Kuckreja put in a magnificent all round performance on Saturday to help Washington return to winning ways with a five-wicket victory over Calthorpe.
Wash skipper Peter Kloss won the toss and after deliberation decided to bowl first. Kuckreja showed inspirational form as he put in a commanding spell of medium pace bowling to claim three wickets for just 33 runs. Captain Kloss also picked up three wickets as Calthorpe were dismissed for 228.
Kuckreja proved just as lethal with the bat as he hit an unbeaten score of 71 to lead Washington to their first victory in five games. Aff Naseem also put in a big hit as he notched up a score of 67 as Washington marched to a winning score of 231-5.
Skipper Kloss was delighted after the match: “What a fabulous Wash victory, desperately needed and well deserved. It was a good team performance,” he said.
