Under-16s champions Saint Mary’s
Triumphant teams United in cup glory

SCORES of budding young footballers brought Market Road to a standstill on Wednesday when they turned out for the grand finals of the Camden Unity Cup.
There were thrills and spills as players battled it out for glory across three age categories at the Islington-based Astroturf pitches.
In the boys’ under-14s final, Edmonton All Saints overcame AFC Camden courtesy of the dreaded penalty shoot-out. Having remained tied at 1-1 following extra-time, Edmonton goalkeeper Mark Blair saved brilliantly from the spot to seal a thrilling victory.
Ingestre FC also had to keep their nerve from the spot to clinch the under-18s trophy, while in the under-16s competition, St Mary’s recorded the most convincing win when they ran out 3-0 winners against Queen’s Crescent.
