Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 23 August 2007

Nasty way

• REGARDING Carol O’Brien’s letter (Poor form, August 16), I too filled in a form regarding the Kentish Town swimming baths’ refurbishment.
They asked about open plan showers and changing rooms, but nowhere did they indicate clearly that this would entail men and women showering or changing either together or within the vicinity of the opposite sex.
This is a nasty way for Camden to get swimmers to respond in a way they can manipulate for their own purpose. I thoroughly disapprove of such methods.
For the avoidance of doubt, I would not object to an open plan situation in the showers and changing room, but only in circumstances where men are kept well away from the area.
Don’t even try to impose mixed sex showering or changing facilities at the baths.
