Summer swim sessions set to be splash-tastic
SWIM stars will be making a splash this summer when they dive into pools across Islington to take part in a series of fun new activities.
The SuperSwim extravaganza is giving youngsters aged 8 to 15 the chance to try out a host of new events, including synchronised swimming, water polo, snorkelling and diving.
Being jointly held at the Ironmonger Row Pools in Angel and the Cally Pool in Caledonian Road, the splash-tastic sessions will be running every weekday until the end of August between 9.30am-12noon.
More than 20 swimming teachers, coaches and staff members from Aquaterra Leisure have attended specialised training courses to run the SuperSwim sessions, which look set to be a hit this summer.
The sessions, funded by Sport England, Islington Council and Aquaterra Leisure, will cost £3.50 for members and £4.50 for all over children. For further information visit www.aquaterra.org. |
