Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 26 July 2007

Save hospital paintings

• FULL marks to the CNJ and your reporter Roisin Gadelrab for doggedly pursuing the issue of the Cayley Robinson/Middlesex Hospital paintings (A public appeal could save paintings, July 5).
They must be kept together in this country and on regular public display but their local connection should not be forgotten. They were endowed for our local hospital and after 80 years have become part of the history and memory of the local community.
UCLH should recognise it made a mistake in not incorporating them in the new hospital, abandon all thought of selling them and now make amends by undertaking to incorporate them in one of the major developments still to come, the Grafton Way Odeon site and Huntley Street Obstetrics Hospital site.
MAX NEUFELD,
Charlotte Street Association, W1
