Better late than never for golden trio

TRIUMPHANT trio Anna Critchlow, Angela Howe and Angela Evans finally received their gold medals from the London Marathon this week after winning both the UK Athletics and the England Athletics team events.
The three London Heathside runners were forced to wait for their medals after Angela Howe was originally disqualified for not wearing a club vest. But they say fortune favours the brave, and luckily enough Heathside officials had taken pictures of her during the event to prove that she was in fact wearing her club colours.
Angela Howe was the first Heathsider home when she crossed the finishing line in 22nd place with a time of two hours, 49 minutes and 57 seconds. Anna finished 52nd just seconds ahead of the three-hour mark, while teammate Angela Evans was just over 30 seconds behind in 57th place.
