Sport sessions kick off

SPORTS fans will be hoping the weather eases off by the weekend so they can join in a number of competitions and sessions that are being held across the borough.
On Saturday, young footballers are being invited to take part in the final round of the Under-12s Prime Soccer Championships at Market Road.
Scores of players are expected to make their way to the Astroturf pitches in a bid to net glory in the action packed seven-a-side tournament. Entry costs £15. Anyone interested should contact Chris Markoullis on 07956 832 391.
The six-week courses, which get underway on Wednesday, are open to players of all abilities, and will teach newcomers everything they need to know about the sport, including drills, tactics and match play.
There are two levels, with beginners running from 7pm-8pm and a session for improved players between 8pm-9pm. The cost is £54 or £45 for members. Anyone interested in finding out more info should contact 020 7700 1370.
