New end triumph in rounders tournament


ROUNDERS champions were crowned in Regent’s Park yesterday (Wednesday) when New End School lifted the Camden Schools Sports Association A tournament trophy.
New End, from Hampstead, beat Gospel Oak by half a run in the final to land a spot in upcoming Under-11s national finals.
Islington’s St Mary Magdalene School won the B tournament after beating New End.
Edith Neville and Kingsgate schools were third with St Mary and St Pancras and Emmanuel schools fourth.
Parly Hill School will represent the borough in the women’s under-16 national finals after victory in their competition on Monday.
