Mayor backs Walk of Fame

MAYOR of London Ken Livingstone has thrown his support behind plans to create a Walk of Fame honouring musicians in Camden.
Mr Livingstone has joined Leron Gubler, president of the trust that runs Hollywood’s star-studded boulevard, in backing a plan to mimic Tinseltown’s scheme in a musical form in Camden.
Mr Livingstone said: “Camden has a history of being a hotbed of creativity and vibrancy, particularly for musicians.
“Bob Marley stayed in a flat in Ridgmount Gardens when he came to London to secure a record deal. Marley is just one of the many great musicians influenced by the vibrant cultural atmosphere in Camden and I look forward to seeing them honoured on a Walk of Fame.”
The Walk will be made up of paving stones bearing handprints of musicians.
