Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published:21 June 2007

Sort our problems in open

THIS week our deputation to full council was refused by the mayor of Camden on incomprehensible grounds.
The voices of honest citizens, tenants, residents, shopkeepers of Malden Road and its surrounds have been ignored and silenced.
In the interim we have an imminent by-election in our ward where diversionary tactics are being employed, such as a petition to save the post office, while the reality of all levels of anti-social behaviour for all residents is not being addressed.
We seek all the relevant parties and agencies, to communicate with the community to resolve these problems in the open.
It is all too easy to blame one set of people, when it is up to the community at large, the council and the police to work together to make our streets safe.
