Excercise fairness over gym

• I'M sorry David Newman has got his underpants in a twist over this seeming bias towards women (Gym facilities fit for women, May, 24).
But if he lived by the Swiss Cottage Centre he would see that this is by way of redressing the male bias that dominates the football pitch outside. This pitch is set up at 8am in the mornings and does not close until 11pm at night.
It, and its surrounding area, is a magnet for men and boys. There is a dearth of conspicuous females.
This is a 15-hour-a-day, seven-days-a-week, all-male facility. Is there more you want?
