Son finds parents dead

THE son of a West Hampstead GP found his father dead 13 days after discovering the body of his mother at home, an inquest has heard.
Dr Geoffrey Richman, 73, drank himself to death two weeks after his wife Marie died at their Fordwych Road home, St Pancras Coroner’s Court was told on Tuesday.
The couple’s son, Julian, 46, found his mother’s body in her study five days before Christmas last year.
A post mortem found Mrs Richman, 71, died from an enlarged heart and blocked arteries.
Just 13 days later he discovered his father’s body in his bedroom surrounded by bottles of whisky and other spirits.
A post mortem found toxic levels of alcohol in Dr Richman’s blood.
Deputy coroner Sean McGovern said: “Dr Richman was much affected by the death of his wife.” He ruled that Mrs Richman died of natural causes and recorded an open verdict on Dr Richman, a former partner at the Windmill Medical Practice in Kilburn.
