Personal best for Anaconda kids

YOUNGSTERS from Anaconda Swimming Club recorded a staggering 20 new personal best times on Saturday when  they turned out for the Allen Davies Trophy gala.
Morgan Mockler had an outstanding evening, setting a new club record of 17.92secs in the under-12s 25m butterfly. The talented 10-year-old also won the under-11s 25m butterfly and the 50m backstroke events.
Joe Grubb, 11, swam superbly to win the under-12s 50m breaststroke and backstroke events, while Tomas Sitek, 11, won the 25m butterfly.
The boys’ squad of Grubb, Sitek, Dominic McLoughlin, Jake Usher and Padraig Lynch continued the gold rush with tremendous wins in the freestyle and medley relays.
The under-11s boys’ team of Jake Usher, Ronnie Grubb, Felix Day and Andrew Bartha won their freestyle relay, while the under-14s team off Kathleen Bartha, Mei Corbett, Clare Walton and Lauren Speirs sealed victory in the 4x25m medley relay.
