Jessica’s double gold

A TOP team of swimmers from Anaconda were in action at the weekend as they turned out in force for the Middlesex Spring Development gala.

Among the stars was Jessie Baker, who captured double gold after touching home first in the 200m freestyle and the 50m butterfly.
The talented 13-year-old also won silver medals in the 200m individual medley and the 400m freestyle.
Leo Kirby, 14, set five new personal best times as he captured gold in his 100m backstroke, butterfly and freestyle events, as well as earning speeding tickets for 50m freestyle and 50m  backstroke.
Teammate Lauren Spiers hit six personal best times as she won gold in the 50m breaststroke, bronze in the 50m fly and captured four speeding tickets.
Elsewhere Hayley Glassford won gold in the 50m freestyle, silver in the 400m individual medley and bronze in the 200m breaststroke.
Meanwhile in the previous Speedo League outing, Morgan Mockler and Dominic McLoughlin were both  set new club records in the 50m butterfly and 25m freestyle respectively.
