Hawks late strike fells gallant Wolves

CAMDEN & ISLINGTON YOUTH LEAGUE ROUND-UP

UNDER-9S: ALAN MICHAEL BROWNE CHALLENGE CUP

HOTSHOT Alfie Costello bagged a brace as Isledon Wolves beat Chapel on Friday to book their place in the last four of the cup.
After a goalless first half, the talented striker latched on to a poor clearance to give Wolves the lead, before rifling home a stunning free-kick to seal a 2-0 win.

UNDER-10S CHALLENGE CUP

HAMPSTEAD remain on course for a league and cup double after they booked their place in the semi-finals with a 4-1 victory over Primrose Hill.
Captain Shane Cojocarel led by example as he fired the Blues in to an early lead. Primrose hit back to level the scores, but goals from Reuben Hinkson, Jack Maguire and Daniel Phelan saw Hampstead bounce back to seal a commanding win.
Elsewhere Brunswick sealed a dramatic penalty shootout victory in their quarter-final tie against St Pancras.
Two goals from Bradley Fowler and a strike from Oliver Chesterman saw Peel cruise in to the next round with a 3-0 win over Islington Admiral Youth.

UNDER-11S CHALLENGE CUP

GOALS from George Brennan, Conor Jones and Luke Rushe earned Hampstead Hawks a stunning 3-2 cup victory over Isledon Wolves.
Harry Clark scored with virtually the last kick off the game to send EC1 Elite into the next round of the cup following a thrilling victory over Tufnell.
Tufnell took the lead in the first half but Billy Stewart hit back for Elite to force extra-time.
Stewart struck his second of the game to give EC1 a 2-1 lead, but this time it was Tufnell’s turn to hit back and level the scores.
With the game heading for penalties, Clarke unleashed a stunning effort to seal a dramatic 3-2 win.

STRIKES from Adam Andreou and Isaac Freeling earned FDS a 2-0 victory over Paradise Panthers.
Hampstead also booked their place in the next round with a hard fought 2-1 win over N4 United.
