Altogther now for the Double … a triumphant FDS say bring it on
Rampant FDS line up Double

BIG MATCH SPECIAL - Our weekly spotlight on one of the league’s big games

HAT-TRICK hero Nathan Belton scored a timely treble on Friday as Futebol de Salao kept their hopes of a league and cup Double alive with an impressive victory at Market Road.
Taking on under-8s side Lyndhurst Cubs, the youngest team in the league, Nathan fired FDS ahead early on when he slotted the ball across the keeper from the edge of the area.
Lyndhurst put on a spirited display with defensive duo Solomon Ruse and Harvey Boon showing great determination in the heart of the cubs’ defence.
But in the end FDS proved just too strong as they doubled their lead on the stroke of half time when DJ Adelekan kept his composure in front of goal to calmly beat the keeper.
League leaders FDS made their age advantage count after the break with a five-star performance as Belton and Adelekan both scored their second of the game. William Savill and substitute Louie Leong were also among the goals as FDS went goal crazy.
In the final minutes of the match, Belton completed his hat-trick as he unleashed a first time shot that went in off the post to seal a 7-0 victory for FDS with his first goals of the season.
