Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 8 March 2007

Forgotten elderly

ANOTHER £17,000 has been spent heightening the fence around a newly- refurbished football pitch, which of course should never have been built so near houses and flats.
On our part of the Clarence Way estate, we have been waiting for ages to have fences and hedges repaired and the pavements around our hedges are a disgrace and a danger.
But we are only older people. On the other hand, if you are a child or youth you have your choice of two football pitches, three playing fields and an infamous, useless golf course, all within five minutes of each other. Even the dogs have two play areas.
There are no new facilities for older people, not even benches for them to sit out on.
