Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 22 February 2007

Respect others

• WHY when a Halal ‘only’ food service is suggested for my local state secular school no cries of racism or bigotry are heard but when non-Muslims ask only for the same consideration in their own country, they are labelled as racists?
A number of Christians feel that food blessed by Islam is inappropriate and a lot of Britons consider their traditions are being compromised.
I have always respected and accepted the ways of other countries – I expect no less in mine.
JACQUELINE GOMM
West End Lane, NW6
