Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 15 February 2007

Thanks for pub decision

• I AM in no doubt that the New Journal will cover the report regarding the decision of the licensing committee of Camden Council to not allow the Royal Exchange pub on Hartland Road to reopen.
I am delighted that the licensing committee listened to the concerns of residents on the problems that have historically taken place with this pub.
We’ve been plagued over the years with anti-social behaviour from people attending the Exchange and it was absolutely clear that the new owner of the pub had not been able to properly tell us how he would make the ‘new’ venue work.
This is a small victory for residents in the area. I am very grateful for Councillor Pat Callaghan’s assistance with this case – as will many others in the area who will now be able to continue having a good nights sleep.
Ian Fraser
