Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 8 February 2007

King’s Cross concerns

• EVEN though the review of anti-social behaviour policies has finally finished, for the residents of King’s Cross, uncertainty still remains.
Despite a number of requests for information, the new Liberal Democrat and Tory administration, is still not willing to guarantee that the King’s Cross street wardens will not be cut.
Residents’ concerns have been heightened by the farcical move of the wardens to an out-of-ward location and the failure of the executive to respond to direct questions.
Improvements to King’s Cross over the last few years have been driven by committed residents, the police, street wardens supported by their local councillors. Don’t let all this good work go to waste!
GEETHIKA JAYATILAKA, ABDUL HAI and JONATHAN SIMPSON
Labour Ward Councillors for King’s Cross
