Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 8 February 2007

They treat the aged like rubbish

The treatment of pensioners by Camden Council is disgusting. Just look at the treatment I suffered on September 11, 2006 at a full council meeting. The police were called and I was forcibly removed from the public gallery.
Freedom of speech must not die. But the council only had me to pick out – I’m 84 years of age but don’t misunderstand me, that shouldn’t happen to anyone.
Now they want to sell off the care homes. When they have sold everything else, will there be any need for elections at all? The good staff at the council, what will happen to them?
