Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 1 February 2007

Renewable energy must be used more

LAST week I went to see the exhibition on the draft planning brief for the Camden Town Underground Station Site at the St Martin’s Community Centre in Carol Street.
I was sorry to see that the target for renewable energy in major projects is only 10 per cent, with a possible increase to 20 per cent. This is far too timid.
The new administration on Camden Council is now taking sustainability far more seriously, and I hope that it will adopt a target for the Camden Town site and other major projects of being carbon neutral.
The threat of global warming is now so serious that nothing less is acceptable.
