Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 1 February 2007

Square disgrace

• I SEE there’s another lesson that the new regime at the Town Hall hasn’t learned.
They still have this irrational, self-defeating, control-freakery approach when some people feel inhibited from using a public facility because of ‘anti-social’ behaviour – they stop anyone using the facility at all!

They want to close off the little garden around the monument in the middle of Princes Circus, opposite the Oasis at the top of Shaftesbury Avenue. So, rather than some people feeling deprived on some evenings, now everyone is, every evening.
Isn’t Town Hall democracy great?
ALBERT BEALE
Museum Chambers, WC1
