Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 1 February 2007

High time for Thames

• I HAVE lived for years with Thames Water renewing water mains in Kentish Town, making a mess and staying for ages.

I was pleased to read that Thames Water are to be prosecuted (Water co in dock over shoddy work, Jan 25).
It is high time they were held to account, since their monopoly gives us no way to vote with our feet.
It left me wondering why it is only now, with a Lib Dem-led council, that a prosecution is being brought against Thames Water?
The Labour administration let Thames Water get away with their arrogant behaviour for years, causing misery and disruption to all of Camden’s residents and businesses.
This is another example of how residents are better served by the new administration.
