Young guns sit pretty

FA Premier Academy League Under 18s
Arsenal 2, Fulham 0

THE young guns of Arsenal stretched their unbeaten run to 16 games on Saturday with a convincing victory against Fulham at Shenley.
Portuguese striker Rui Fonte fired the Gunners ahead early on before Nacer Barazite ensured all three points with a well-taken goal on the stroke of half time.
The win leaves the unstoppable under-18s side sitting pretty at the top of the table, having finished the first half of the season unbeaten, having dropped just four points so far.
Managed by former Gunners defender Steve Bould, the young Arsenal side take on West Ham on Saturday.
Then just five days later, they travel to Hull in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup.
Having been playing for the under-18s side since they were 15-years-old or younger, it won’t be long before the triumphant teenagers make their play for the first team.
