Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 4 January 2007

Bush and Blair are just as guilty as Iraq’s Saddam

SADDAM Hussein’s execution will not bring peace or stability to the country but what strikes me is the disgusting behaviour of our Prime Minister and his foreign secretary.
Both are, at least nominally, against the death penalty, but neither had the guts to make an official protest.
Italy and France all made official protests but Blair is happy to spend his time as the guest of a former pop star in Florida.
One should not forget that it was the West who supplied Saddam with the mustard and nerve gases which he so murderously used and it was the West who encouraged him to wage war with Iran.
Has justice been done? Not until the war criminals of Washington and London have been brought to account for their own crimes against humanity.
